Waiver Wire Targets For Week 15 – 2024 Waiver Wire Targets

The list is getting smaller as we’re now focused on finding players you can start if needed.  There continues to be a bit of quality widely available, though TE continues to be a struggle.

Good luck everyone!

Quarterback:

  1. Russell Wilson (45% available) – he didn’t play well against the Browns this season, but those matchups are over.  I like Wilson moving forward.  He’s the best of what’s left.
  2. Caleb Williams (52%) – I didn’t like the matchup vs a desperate 49ers team.  He’s played well against the NFC North this season, which is what makes up the bulk of his remaining schedule.
  3. Anthony Richardson (48%) – he was on a bye this week, but he’ll return to action and is a rushing TD thread every week.
  4. Bryce Young (95%) – since Tua Tagovailoa graduated from this list into mass ownership, I wanted to throw in a 4th.  Bryce Young is playing well and he’s always been better with Adam Thielen on the field.  The Panthers aren’t packing it in.  They are playing hard each week and I don’t think the near-upset of the Eagles was a fluke.  They will continue to score points.

Running Back:

  1. Patrick Taylor Jr. (96% available) – about 15 minutes after I posted last week’s column, Jordan Mason ended up on IR and Guerendo flew off of waivers.  I don’t know why this continues to surprise me, but now Guerendo was injured.  If the injury is more serious than thought, Taylor will be the next man up.
  2. Sincere McCormick (89%) – another solid game for McCormick.  He’s the only Raider to show an ability to provide any level of explosiveness this season.  For those of you in dynasty leagues, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that McCormick could win the 2025 starting job too.
  3. Braelon Allen (52%) – I like Allen a lot, but with Breece Hall out, he ended up splitting time with Isaiah Davis.
  4. Isaiah Davis (97%) – speaking of, I would grab Davis if Hall continues to be out of the lineup.
  5. Tank Bigsby (65%) – Things are bad in Jacksonville, but at least Bigsby continues to get plenty of looks and is very available on the waiver wire across fantasy leagues.

Wide Receiver:

  1. Adam Thielen (62% available) – he’s reached a level where he should not only be rostered in every league, you can make the argument that he should be a weekly starter to end the season.
  2. Rome Odunze (40%) – it’s not only about his performance this week.  His target numbers have been very good.  He was due for this performance and frankly, he should finish very strong.
  3. Keon Coleman (50%) – you would have thought the Bills would put him on IR since he hasn’t played since week 9.  At some point he’ll be back and he’ll be a factor.
  4. Elijah Moore (77%) – he’s up and down as a wide receiver.  The Browns played Pittsburgh in week 12, Denver in week 13 and then Pittsburgh again in week 14.  That’s a tough defensive matchup stretch.  The schedule will lighten up for Moore going forward.
  5. Cedric Tillman (74%) – he missed another game with a concussion, but he’ll be back soon.
  6. Jalen McMillan (91%) – the Bucs have NARROWLY missed on a few big plays for McMillan this season so I’m not surprised by the 2 TD output against the Raiders.  I don’t think that’ll be the norm going forward, but never ignore a late season rookie breakthrough.
  7. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (53%) – we got a “bust” weekend from Ikhine which shows how reliant he is on the end zone to put up big numbers.  1 reception vs a bad Jags team.  Ouch.

Tight End:

  1. Juwan Johnson (86%) – 5 targets, 4 receptions and 50 yards receiving the week after Taysom Hill went down with injury.  I like Johnson going forward.
  2. Noah Gray (88%) – for the 4th straight week, he had 4 receptions.  Over those 4 weeks, he’s had 4 touchdowns.  He’s proving himself a reliable chain mover for the Chiefs and Mahomes will continue going to him.
  3. Tucker Kraft (38%) – he’s solid and consistent, he just doesn’t get a ton of targets.
  4. Tommy Tremble (100%) – he’s had a nice two game performance.  The target totals are volatile, but Tremble should be the top Panther TE the rest of 2024.
  5. Zach Ertz (38%) – TE has been thin this season.  Ertz is really the best of the rest.

Defense:

  1. LA Chargers (50% available) – since Philadelphia is now widely owned, the Chargers are now my favorite fantasy defense to end the season with.
  2. Houston (51%) – they are a strong scoring defense, but were largely dropped due to the bye.
  3. Seattle (76%) – they’re playing excellent football of late and I like the finish to their schedule.
