I’m pleased to announce the 2024 Fantasy Football Almanac and Draft Guide is now available on Amazon.com! In my quest to write the perfect fantasy football magazine, the book has once again expanded and you now have two options on how to purchase (and a third on the way).
Option 1: The 2024 Fantasy Football Almanac You Know (and hopefully love) is published, sold and distributed by Amazon. You can access that book here on Amazon here. This is the 7th year of the Almanac and I’m proud to say it’s been Amazon’s top selling book for 5 or 6 of those years thanks to you. Thank you so much. This book will continue to be supported and your updates will always be free on the book.
Option 2: I’ll be brutally honest here. Between printing, shipping, profit share and ad costs, Amazon takes about 85-90% of the money generated by the book. They do pay more than a standard publishing house so I’m not complaining. But the reality is that if I want to grow this service in the way that I want to, I need to generate revenue outside of Amazon. You’ll notice that I’ll be unveiling a new store this year with other services including an ebook version of the Almanac. This will help me sell more copies to international audiences. This is not available yet, but I should have at least a first version of the store up and running by the end of June.
The second difference is that I’ve expanded the team writeups to include the workshare analysis. I helped publish a sister companion book last year, but I’ve just moved all of that workshare stuff (which drives PAR) into the book. For example, if you wanted to know how often Sean McVay targets Puka Nacua and/or Cooper Kupp when both are in the lineup together, I have you covered. It also does things like project the QBs with highest percentage of rushing yardage and rushing TDs on their team. Or running backs with the highest percentage of receptions on their team. There are people that publish these type of stats, but they don’t get as granular into the use when teams are at full strength. It’s pretty cool and I’m excited about it.
The third difference is that I included a short writeup for each team that includes “What-If” injury analysis. For example, if you want to know how an injury to Christian McCaffrey would impact the 49ers offensive workshare distribution, I have thoughts. Or if you wanted to know which running back to target in waivers if Breece Hall were to be injured, I have some thoughts in there. That way, you have a record of it when a star player eventually gets injured.
Lastly, I create a short paragraph on who I’m watching. Each team discusses rookies and how I think they’ll develop, when they’ll start to play games, if I think they have a path to get onto the field and see meaningful snaps, etc. This section also includes thoughts on who I’m watching this year. If I think there’s an underreported position battle, or a potential change in offensive focus pending some training camp development, I’m letting you know.
This Gold Edition is $24.97 USD and can be purchased on Amazon (print only, no ebook). Fantasy Football Almanac Gold can be purchased here.
NOTE: If you’re anything like me, when you saw “$24.97” as the price, you may think I’m being greedy. I just want you to know that wasn’t my intent. I wanted to have the standard book priced at $14.97 as usual and then this version priced at $19.97, but Amazon print costs just made that impossible. This is another reason I want to move more commerce to my website. I doubt I’ll ever by the cheapest publication, but I really want what I do to provide you with the most value. I’ll try to figure out a way to bring that cost down in future years.
Again, thank you so much for supporting the Almanac. Many readers have been with me since my first publication in 2018 and it’s been a pleasure to create content for you through the years.
